how to save a life
how can you save a life? there are many ways to save lives for example, talk to them about church, give them a bible, help them financially or give them some place to sleep. many people live in this world and never find true love. not true love from fairy tales but true love of neighbor, family and friends. i think is is very important for people to know that they are loved. and not only loved by you but by God. there is not one moment in time where God said "i'm not going to love this person because he sinned." it is the complete opposite, He says "I will love this person because he sinned and I will wait until he realizes that he was wrong." that is what God says to us in the bible. think about the story of the the prodigal son, Luke 15:11-32. go to this website to read the story if you don't have a bible on hand: http://www.usccb.org/bible/luke/15
His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son. But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Luke 15: 21-22
why do you think the father did this? this is your answer:
because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’ Then the celebration began. Luke 15:24
he was so happy his son returned to him that he threw him a feast. that is what God does for us when we sin and come back to him. he throws a spiritual feast for us.
some of us may think we are doing the right things in life. but you know deep down in your heart that it isn't right and it's not making you happy. God doesn't want your soul to be sold to the evil one, He wants you to enjoy the little time that you have now on earth with the people that mean the most to you. and sure at times you get on each others nerves, but you need to learn how to work past that and love them no matter what. a lot of times it has to do with not agreeing on certain subjects, all of us have our own convictions and we need to respect one another. but never let that hurt you relationships.
this is an amazing picture because that is what God looks like when we sin and come back to Him. we return to Him with our clothes ripped and not looking our best. but even then He loves us. never think otherwise.
