high falls hike
on saturday we went with our life teen group to high falls state park. it was about 45 minutes from our church (including the part we kinda got lost.) the drive there was so beautiful, the scenery was so green and the little town was so cute! we drove into the parking lot and you can see the falls, it was huge! we crossed the street and found the trail. this is what we saw when we went down the path:
we sat down and she read us a short passage from the bible and she prayed a short prayer. after that we just hung out and talked for a little while before we continued. this is our life teen leader chilling and dipping her feet in the cold water:
this park was so peaceful and the views were beautiful. i honestly want to go back, sit on a rock and just take it all in. maybe read the bible or take photos. after walking down to the rocks, we got back on the trail and walked down to our life teen leader's private island. (obviously she doesn't own it, but she likes to sit and meditate there.) while walking down we found a small turtle:

then we went off the trail and discovered some really cool stuff! i took lots of pictures of yellow wild flowers. they were so beautiful! this is my favorite out of all of them:
the whole morning was such an adventure! it was so fun! i hope we do it again soon! here are some more pics throughout the hike:
