back off boys! my faith comes first
back off boys! my faith comes first. this sentence is how i feel my dating life will be. eventually i'll date someone, but that will be my one ground rule. my faith comes before boys, parties, friends, everything. i will go to church, lead bible studies, help at church if they need me and do the right thing always. why? because i want to go to heaven. i strive to go to heaven everyday, i do all that i can to get there. you should too because you don't want to be stuck in hell for eternity. i think my call is to help get people to heaven. i really want everyone to go to heaven, all my friends, family and people i don't even know.
a couple weeks ago at life teen we had to fill out a paper. the question was: what is the vision for the kind of person God wants you to become? what do yo think God's vision is for you based on who you are and what you love? we broke up into small groups and went into a different room. our teacher explained all the questions on the paper, but i feel like those 2 questions stuck out for me the most. what do i think God wants me to become? i think He wants me to become a fearless daughter of the King, and to help others with their spiritual lives. that is my answer for the first question, the answer to the second question was: i think He wants me to forgive and love others as He loves me.
i will put the rest of the questions on the bottom of this post so you can think about them. :)
so when a boy come into a girls life he may start to change her. her likes and dislikes may change and her personality may change also. but i don't want to change when i bring a boy into my life. why? because i want to be able to share all my dislikes and likes, my thoughts and all that i stand for with him. i want God to be the center of our relationship and our relationship to revolve around Him. so boys my faith comes first! and don't get in my way of loving Jesus!
life teen questions:
what do you do with your time?
what are you involved in?
what is the vision for the kind of person God wants you to become?
what do you think God's vision is for you based on who you are and what you love?
what are the things that are currently preventing you from your vision?
what's one positive step i can take today, so that i know i have not wasted my life and it will help me to become the person God wants me to be?
what does it mean to say that our primary goal as a follower of Jesus is to love like Him and to honor Him?
