what do your clothes say about you?

what do your clothes say about you? this question is so important because i don't want to give the wrong message to people. think about this: every piece of clothing has a "purpose." for example, low tank tops tell a person "i don't give myself respect and i'm going to wear this to enhance my beauty." in this generation that is the mentality that woman have. it is very sad because God made us in His likeness and image Genesis 1:26. modesty isn't recognized in this world anymore. why? because people think about modesty from the 1800. like wearing long sleeves and a skirt all day. that was a different time. but i mean cover your cleavage and wear shorts that don't have you butt hanging out. these things aren't hard, but you have to want to change. my clothes say that i like being comfortable, cute and modest. here are some tips that help me decide what is modest:

1. bend over, do you see your cleavage? solution: your shirt/dress/tank top is too low.
2. bend over, touch your butt. do you feel you underwear? solution: your dress/skirt is too short.
3. hands up! do you see your belly button? solution: your shirt/tank top is too small.
4. do a squat, do your shorts/pants feel tight? did the button pop? or did you get a wedgie? solution: shorts/pants are too small
5. NEVER WHERE 2 SIZES SMALLER!

those are the tricks i use to decide if the piece of clothing is modest. i hope you apply these tricks to you life! these steps aren't hard, are they? simple answer "no." it just takes time make a change in your life. i do this to please God and Momma Mary but also not to have weirdos looking at me. i want to make one last point. some of you are married, engaged or have a girlfriend/boyfriend, but you still must be modest even with them. and modesty not only in dress but also in speech. saying kind words go a long way! i like complimenting old lady's at church. i tell them how lovely they look, or i say an encouraging word. their reaction is the best! i love doing that because you don't know how it affected them in their life.

remember modesty isn't only for the 1800! and don't forget to try my tricks the next time you go shopping!
