comfort zone
Stepping out of your comfort zone means doing things you wouldn’t normally do. For example, if you like watching TV for 5 hours a day, get out of your comfort zone and go for a jog, or read. Do something that is good for you. I'm not saying that TV is bad but you need to watch it in moderation.
I’ve never had a problem with getting out of my comfort zone because I’m adventurous and like trying new things. If I'm bored I'll get the kids dressed up, take them outside and have an evening photo shoot. Sometimes I'll go outside by myself because I need a moment to just be away from everyone. I need to hear my thoughts and be in the world's natural beauty. I come back in and feel good and ready for the rest of the day. It's like a 30 minute retreat. I love it!
Other things that help me get out of my comfort zone: I love traveling and would love to do it all the time. Trying new foods and seeing new landscapes. Ughhh I love that! Or, wearing different clothes from a different country. Like a sari. I find those things very unique. But some people just like living the same. Nope! Not me. And I don't want to harp on all the people who like living in their comfort zones, but trying new things is a good and healthy thing. Do something you never thought you'd do. Maybe you'll find something you are good at but never knew it.
So next time you are going to say no to something you don't like, step out of your comfort zone and try it anyway, and don’t ever be afraid of the unknown. Because tomorrow is unknown, are you scared of tomorrow?
