Fall Retreat '18
hi y'all its been awhile. lately i've been really busy with school, getting ready for Thanksgiving and the Life Teen Fall Retreat '18. this weekend was so memorable! i've met so many amazing people that share the same love i have for Jesus! it was so awesome! although i was not prepared for it to get so cold (it was thirty something degrees at night!)
my favorite part of the whole weekend was adoration (which was last night). the moment they brought out the monstrance with Jesus in it, i felt this peace and felt truly loved. like i actually realized how loved i am, not only from people i know but from Jesus Himself. i ended up writing loved on my left wrist because i wanted to see it and remember that moment i had with Jesus.
besides the Catholic aspect of the retreat, i really enjoyed getting to know a lot of new people. my bunk mates are such amazing people! they are all so sweet and kind! for example, they'd go get water for themselves and ask the whole group if they wanted water too. or sharing snacks with each other. i was happy i was able to relate to all these girls! can't wait to make more memories with them!
so the whole retreat was based on perspectives. the different perspectives of characters from the bible. we would get together with our small groups, read a bible story a few times, talk about it and make a tweet. obviously these tweets weren't actually posted on twitter because we weren't allowed to have our phones with us. after we made our tweets (which i'll put some pics at the bottom of this post). we would present our tweets to everyone. shout out to the best group leader ever! Mikayla, you are so awesome! i hope to see you soon! over all it was such a great experience, i really can't wait for the Life Teen Spring Retreat!
i also want to thank all the people who made the retreat possible, especially Mrs. Krissy! she is an amazing person who is so humble and real! thank you to all the people who gave me affirmations! y'all are so awesome and sweet!
until next time, stay woke!
p.s. the t shirts are so cool! i loved them!
