THANKSGIVING 2019
helloooooo fam! well it has been a looooong while since i've posted. so sorry lol. last week was thanksgiving and it's crazy to think my family arrived in Georgia just 10 days ago. we made so many unforgettable memories. i already miss every moment. GUYS, SOAK UP EVERY MOMENT! BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LAST LONG! i miss everyone!
so in today's post i'm going to talk about my favorite moments from thanksgiving. and really, be thankful. i didn't think that last weekend was going to be so amazing. i was so happy to reconnect with my family. i'm VERY thankful for all the times we laughed together. i really miss that the most!
my favorite moments:
🔺 one moment that was so so so special to me was my cousin Dom coming up to me and saying " i love you." just out of the ordinary. i missed out on alot of him growing up and now that we've grown closer, little moments like this means so much to me.
🔻 cleaning and seasoning a pig. if you would have told me that when i was 16 years old i'd be seasoning (with my great-grandma's recipe) a pig for thanksgiving, i probably wouldn't believe you. i'm really honored to be continuing this awesome family tradition.
🔺 secret santa! omg! i'm telling you! that was so much funnnn! i got my uncle Roy and let me tell you no one was expecting what i had in the box i gave him. i did a pinterest box of sunshine. so basically everything inside is yellow. i got a ton of candy, a really cute mustache mug and a POTATO (some of you will get why) and some other stuff.
🔻 spending time with my cousin Brandon. i honestly didn't expect to laugh so hard with him. from scaring the crap out of each other in the woods, to walking to the stop sign, to canoeing at the lake. i don't think i've laughed this hard with someone in a long time. who knew someone could act so brave but be so scared lol. love u bro.
🔺 the last night uncle Ryan and tia Kiersten were here we played the game of things. it was late and i think we were delirious because everything was way to funny. Michael's answers weren't making sense and i kid you not i thought we were all going to pee our pants. my uncle Ryan does this silent laugh that is so contagious.
🔻 for some odd reason our family thinks talking about poop is just so hilarious. we obviously talked about that after every conversation. and on thanksgiving something hilarious happened. this "something" is how we will always remember thanksgiving in Georgia 2019. i think it was after thanksgiving dinner when my cousin/uncle (not named...you know who you are) went to poop and didn't lock the door. my brother (not named...you know who you are) opened the door. and WHOA! my brother is scared and my cousin/uncle is really confused and probably embarrassed. when we heard the story we are all on the floor. we couldn't keep it together. my cousin/aunt Jenny started laughing like her mom (tia Maggie) it was just so funny. to really grasp the funniness of it all, you had to be there.
🔺 the last night was like no other. i really felt the strong bond we had created over the last couple of days. we sat around the fire and just lived the moment. we talked, laughed, and recounted stories. we were probably out there for like 2 hours, maybe longer. i wish i could time-travel back to that moment. i really felt the word "love", just sitting there and soaking up every moment together.
i just want to take a moment and thank everyone who came and made last weekend so amazing and fun. this year was definitely for books! i wish you all could have been here longer. love u.
